The City of Baxter is part of the Baxter/Brainerd Micropolitan Statistical Area that has a population of over 91,000.  Baxter, a regional center located in the heart of the central lakes area of Minnesota, is seeking applicants for the position of Street and Utilities Supervisor.  The primary objective of the position is to perform supervisory and skilled operation and maintenance of streets, water, sanitary sewer, storm water and related facilities in accordance with approved department plans, policies, programs, and applicable laws.

 Required qualifications are Class C Water License and four years of experience in a Class C or higher class water facility; Class SC Wastewater Collection System License and four years of experience in a Class SC wastewater facility; valid Minnesota Class CDL driver’s license with the ability to obtain a Minnesota Class A driver’s license within six months of hire; Minnesota State special boilers license or ability to obtain within six months of hire; four years of experience in public works maintenance, including street maintenance; Supervisory experience; and High School diploma or general education degree (GED).

The 2024 salary range is $39.40 to $49.90 per hour and the 2025 salary range is $40.58 to $51.40 per hour, based on experience.
