As a reminder, the City of Baxter makes the decisions on where hunting is allowed and what weapon can be used.  All other rules and laws are governed by regulations set by the MN Department of Natural Resources.  It is the responsibility of you as the hunter to be aware of these laws. In addition to the Hunting Permit provided by the City of Baxter, each hunter must purchase a MN DNR license to hunt in Baxter.  This would include any bonus tags.  The police department does not have the authority to issue anything other than the Baxter Hunting Permit.
